A blanket of snow

The last two days have been very full on.

Yesterday we awoke to a beautiful surprise. The ground was covered in a fluffy white blanket of snow. Touching the snow was a very strange sensation, it was nothing like i had expected it to be, it was as light as polystyrene and felt like cotton wool. Oh and just about froze my fingers off when we started making snowballs.

The view from our bedroom window.

A snow covered leaf.

The snow covered table tops.

The nearby road.

After breakfast the parents arrived and the parent teacher interviews began, making the day quite relaxed.

Today in the dark, freezing, early hours of the morning we set out to Faaborg Gymnasium, the local Danish high school.
When we arrived we were given a tour of the school, which wasn't very different from those in Australia.

Our first lesson of the day was sprog, meaning languages. The language we were learning was Spanish, and immediately we were set doing activities. The second lesson of the day was maths, which wasn't that bad (luckily it was something we had learnt back home), and then followed by media, i was really excited about this class as i love film. We all created storyboards and shared them with the class.

And that was the day finished, we waited in the freezing wind for our bus, and headed back to the school to relax for the rest of the afternoon.

until next time
